This AGILE 2026 workshop introduces EarthCODE through practical, hands-on reuse of open Earth Observation research data.
EarthCODE is a strategic initiative by the European Space Agency (ESA) designed to support FAIR and Open Science practice in Earth System Science.
Participants will browse the EarthCODE Open Science Catalog, access datasets through STAC and Python tools, refresh core Pangeo concepts, and work through a guided case study analysing burnt forest areas.
The workshop uses a local Jupyter environment with the existing agile26-pangeo conda environment.
